Scope of study
- Detailed study of the physiography and drainage pattern of the region,
and measures to improve the catchment area for existing water bodies by
using topo sheets.
- Study of the past history of the area with respect to availability of
water bodies, irrigation, and the such.
- Identification of potential zones for recharge structures, by employing
geological and hydrogeological techniques.
- Carrying out of electrical resistivity surveys (Vertical Electrical Sounding)
to confirm the subsurface lithology and water-bearing aquifers.
- Analysis of geo-chemical data of water samples, if available.
- Detailed study of tube wells in operation, and design and construction
of recharge structures for existing bore wells to make them sustainable.
- Detailed study of defunct tube wells and dry open wells in surrounding
areas.
- Detailed study of soil pattern in the area under investigation.
- Suggestions to create various artificial surface water bodies, like storage
ponds and small tanks.
- Design of surface water harvesting and other artificial recharge structures,
like Percolation Pits (PP), Dug Cum Bore Wells (DCB), Trench Cum Percolation
Pits (TCP) for bore wells and open wells.
- Detailed Master plan and feasibility report covering recommendations
for long-term measures to make surface and groundwater resources of the
premises sustainable.
- Evaluation of groundwater potential in terms of quality and quantity.
- Recommendation on the maintenance of Artificial Recharge Structures executed
in the site.
- Methods of recycling of water, possibility of Reed Bed System, possibility
of using treated water for recharge purpose.
- Collection of available data (lineament maps, rainfall data, water level
data, and geo-chemical data) from various user agencies and interpretation
of the data.
- · Interviews with senior citizens to acquire knowledge on old water-bearing
structures, occurrence of surface water bodies, soil pattern and the such.
- Preparation of detailed drawings, indicating locations for Artificial
Recharge Structures at the premises.
- Budgetary Estimate.
